BEWARE INVOICE CONTENT - Booked with Europcar recently, never again. From booking through their website, car not available on arrival and then have my account charged 2x times on consecutive days along with a fuel charge despite the vehicle being returned with a full tank (this was refunded). Trying to get money back from Europcar is a long and tedious process... beware before you book with them. they are inept and are happy to take your money immediately, less than enthusiastic or proactive about returning it. My experience was outside of their rental agreement statements (section 3 of the agreement).Poor form Europcar
Europcar has the most appalling customer service. I have been attempting to collect belongings that were left in a rental car, only to be given different instructions on how to collect them on 6 different occasions now. I still am no closer to understanding how to collect them from your Melbourne airport reception. Your call centre is horrendous, the best bit listening to so we can maintain our terrific customer service absolute joke this business is.
I've been using thrifty in Melbourne for ever with no issues at all. This time I made the horrible mistake of trying europcar. Took them over 40 mins from the time I entered to getting my car. Never again.
Service slow, booked car wasn't ready, tried to sell me an upgrade when I refused they upgraded me because they had given my booked car away. It is months later and still waiting for email receipt, have to apply for missing reward points and then wait weeks for them without the double point bonus that was offered. Second time in 2 years this has happened. Never again plenty of other car hire companies to choose from.
It took us 90 minutes to finally have a car available, customer service was appalling! No communication when there is an issue easier to ignore than communicate. In the past staff have been excellent at the moment it is in desperate need of better leadership.
