Lovely hotel fantastic location friendly staff always to welcome us back fantastic breakfast we have been at this hotel about 4 times now and we will be coming back. Looking forward to going back in the next few months time. Next time we come down would like to be up graded to the other side of the hotel. Thanks and kept up the good work
Staff were friendly and respectful, however the same can not be said for the hotel itself.Booking information wasn't translated to the room.Rooms are small and decor is overall dated.Refurbished is required before I think about staying here again.
In truth, I'd give 3.5 stars to Rydges, as we had some decent moments. I get the impression that the hotel was excellent...about 10-15 years ago. For example, the TV in our bedroom was old, too small, and only had SD channels. It may only have been a 480p panel!The bedroom itself was comfortable and perfectly adequate. You can get $10 credit each day by putting the 'no cleaning' sign in your door handle. I suppose it depends how much mess you make! The shower is good but a weird wet room-curtain hybrid. The result of this is that it gets most of the surrounding area wet so make sure to put down a towel as a makeshift bath mat!The hotel is well located if you're attending the Australian Open, as we did in Jan 2019. It's a brisk 5-10 minute walk to the free tram at Flinder's Street. If you need a train, walk 5 minutes to Parliament station!I'll comment on food provision in the review for the hotel's restaurant itself. In short: not immediately vegan but adaptable.
Great! Friendly staff, helpful when needed assistance, great location in city with choice of transport nearby. Nice bar downstairs overlooking the action of city. Well worth the visit
Extremely comfortable bed. Chair comfortable. staff from reception, cleaners and events staff are great and friendly. . has a desk which helps. good water pressure. lifts can take a while if hotel is full
