If we could we would give Melbourne City Jaguar less than 1 star, probably -5.We express our total dissatisfaction with the servicing carried out on our Jaguar XE in December 2018. So much so that we no longer believe that the claimed servicing has been carried out as per the Repair Tax Invoice that were handed to us in the previous services. After picking up our car after the so-called servicing, we found ourselves on the road with significant rainfall. My husband being worried that there might have been water damage decided to place the car on one of our hoists (we own a mechanical garage and my husband is a car mechanic with over 40 years of experience in dealing with cars of all makes and models). He then removed the underneath panel to check for any water damage, of which there wasnt any.But what he did find was:an oil leak which was coming off the spin on oil filter and found that the oil that was coming out, was dirty oil to which he concluded that the oil filter had not been changed (he can tell when an oil filter has been changed because you can see evidence of finger prints or tool prints of when you remove and replace)regardless of the oil filter being changed or not there was a pool of oil leaking on top of the steering rack electric motor (which is a potential fire hazard) this also demonstrated that the under panel had not removed or that they completely ignored the oil leak.the air filter which is itemised as inspected/replaced had not been inspected nor replaced (after opening the air cleaner box my husband found it packed with debris leaves etc, we live in an area with lots of native trees) on which he used a vacuum to suck out the debris and blew the filter out with compressed airit is itemised that the brake fluid has been renewed and the brakes bled, both of which is not trueMy husband repeatedly phoned Andrew to speak to him about how unhappy we were with the servicing, left numerous messages and we were completely ignored until I phoned Sydney and then he called at a few minutes to five on the Wednesday afternoon with some story about how he had been phoning. We know he hadnt phoned as my husband has the phone on him all day and the number is redirected to his mobile as soon as he leaves the garage. Our records also do not show any missed calls for those days nor were there any messages left on our answering service. When my husband (by the way the invoice always has his name spelt wrong), spoke to Andrew he wanted us to take the car back to which we answered that we couldnt as we were very busy and had already lost a significant amount of time. Then we discussed our dissatisfaction with the whole service. Andrew told us that he would:change the oil filter, which was changedchange the air filter, that was not changed and he said that the air filter to be changed in this service was the cabin filter which is not itemised as such, at least they could have cleaned out the air filter as part of the servicerenew brake fluid which wasnt done and after talking to Andrew, he said that they had made a mistake (another one) because according to the schedule it wasnt due to be changed at that serviceplus after being promised to have the oil leak cleaned we saw that it had not been done again and my husband had to clean what could have caused a major issue to the carBasically we no longer believe anything that is itemised on this invoice nor previous invoices. We are very angry that we have paid for this servicing up front and we have found that we are being defrauded. For any future purchase of vehicles of the Jaguar brand which we love, we will make sure does not include any servicing. So the moral of my story is do not believe what they tell you about the servicing of your vehicle and that neither Jaguar Australia nor Jaguar Head Office in England have bothered to respond to our concerns in the emails that we have sent to them. They just don't care about you as a client at all !!!!! I would not buy nor service any vehicle from Melbourne City Jaguar.
Cannot praise these guys highly enough. Andrew from used Jaguar was so helpful and easy to deal with. He went well above and beyond both before and after the sale to make sure I was happy and satisfying all requests I made. In many years of buying cars this was by far the easiest and most pleasant buying experience I have had. Will definitely be looking these guys up again when it comes time to update again. Thanks guys ;)
WORST EVER. Not helpful at all. Felt ignored as a customer big time. Took them two weeks to answer a question and did not even return my call twice and at last I had to call them back on both occasions. The answer was it is not possible and tomorrow is Christmas.Merry Christmas
Great service and advice. Recommend this business if looking for new car.
