Great! Efficient train service and a smooth ride. I was in Melbourne last month (end Oct 2018) and had a great trip there. Stayed in my aunt place, commute using Lilydale/Belgrave line. The colour of this building is still the same as it was when I was first there in the year 1990. Everything seems to be the same as it is.I actually painted this building, the front view only using watercolour technique... it is something that I admire and worth sharing it now.Internet communication technology is only available today and it is probably worth posting it on google map.
This railway station is an iconic and cultural Melbourne landmark. It's the oldest railway station in Australia, and is the busiest suburban railway station in the southern hemisphere; by far the busiest railway station on the Metro network. It's the main hub of the Melbourne train network and from here you can catch a train to most of Melbourne's suburbs. It has a number of food and drink outlets and, on the steps under the clocks at the very front, has been the meeting place for generations of people. In many ways it's the centre of Melbourne. It's directly opposite Federation Square and most of Melbourne's trams run past it so you can just about get to anywhere in Melbourne from this central location.
Good location with food stalls. Exit onto Federation Square and breathtaking views of the city.
The iconic tourist attraction in Melbourne. I hope I could have done a better photo shoot at the intersection for this building during Christmas season. Its just so beautiful.
The subway is the most efficient way to get around town. You won't find much assistance from the employees here, so navigating to and from your destinations can be a bit confusing at times. Also, this is something that's VERY IMPORTANT to keep in mind. The "WEEKEND" subway schedule starts Friday at midnight, and the train schedules do not clearly explain this. The only reason we found this out was because we happened to be riding the train when an announcement came over the air saying that the train was going to be SKIPPING EVERY SINGLE STOP and heading straight to the last stop on the route. This came as a shock to literally half the people in our car as well, so it's not like it was something that just we happened to miss.
