Excellent book shop & cafe. In fact the cafe was such a surprise I forgot to take a photo. Wide range of teas and very tasty savoury scones. Customer service was excellent with timely delivery of afternoon tea & scones. The staff on this day (Saturday) need to be awarded a gold star as they made us feel so welcome & very special. That's the way to do it! Next time I'll take a photo!
An awesome bookshop where you can find almost anything that you are looking for, whether for yourself or someone else. All genres covered and books to suit all budgets. But beware: if you're a book-lover like me, you may end up spending a lot more time and money than you might have intended.
Good CBD location and excellent range of books, perhaps the best in Melbourne. Its a bit congested at times and this makes browsing difficult, plus theres no where to sit and browse. Having said that, its not a library. The staff are plentiful, but somewhat indifferent. That may come from working for a soulless company, as opposed to a small business. A very small range of classics given the size of the bookstore.
A really large hidden bookshop right in the middle of the city. Such a big collection if you don't see what you're looking for just ask at the desk. A great selection of Australian souvenirs.
Great bookshop. Huge range of fiction. Interesting novelty items - good for small "thankyou"- type gifts. Reasonable prices. Knowledgeable staff. The Cafe serves a large variety of tasty sweet and savoury items. "Reading" room upstairs from Cafe. Highly recommended.
