The views are spectacular but unfortunately, the drinks and service do not match up. First you make customers wait downstairs, told that we'll be brought up once a table is ready, then we go up and are put on a waiting list for a table.. which in our case took a good 40 minutes. I understand it's busy but please be upfront with your customers!
Wow, a must see in Melbourne. You need to wait to get upstairs, but once you are up there the views are amazing. The drinks are VERY expensive, and not much of a food selection. We only went up for 1 drink and see the view really. Would probably rate it lower if we were planning on eating and drinking more, service honestly wasn't the best and nobody communicated when you would actually get a seat. The view is the main reason you would come to this bar
A very easy 5 stars. The cocktails are impressive, and whilst not a full menu for food, the options are a good accompaniment. It's a very inviting and stylish space and the wait staff are friendly and attentive. The view of course, is the real thing to behold.
I've given this place 5 stars and not wanted to change the rating until today. I've been to this amazing bar so many times and has not had my alcoholic self disappointed. I've recommended and taken too many friends here, hence why I trusted Lui bar to host my family friends who were visiting from San Francisco. Unfortunately, tonight's experience was shocking. In summary, we had looks at us by the waitresses, one waitress rolled her eyes and walked off half way between the conversation. We ordered a glass first, but with this behaviour, I was reluctant to order more even though I wanted to. The guy who came out and actually spoke to us was quite good. I ordered a cocktail after finally a good attitude. The cocktail came out after 15minutes. I ordered another glass but it didn't come out for 20minutes and we were ready to go. Checking and cancelling the order took another 10minutes. This has never happened before at Lui bar, I am not sure what changed but I felt let down and sad to change my rating on one of my favourite bars in the CBD.
A fantastic bar on the 55th floor. Staff are very friendly and great input from the bartender. The drinks were on point. Nothing beats a drink in hand and looking out into the horizon. Very relaxed atmosphere.
