Off lead for dogs. Great when it isn't being used as a car park.
Great place to park for the Australian Open, as well as letting the kids have a run around after arriving and before going home. It's nice and close to the city without being too loud. Would have killed for a public toilet to be open, though...
The best fireworks display of my life (9.30pm show). It was literally in your face and was somewhat touching.
Finished the Melbourne marathon here......well, not so much the marathon, but part of the marathon festival. We did the 5k run as more of a walk with the kids. Very cool experience and a lot of fun to see the MCG up close at a non ball sport event.
Best place to watch the kids fireworks at nine pm on New year's Eve. Park around Richmond and it's as gentle walk down to the park for the fireworks. Bring a picnic blanket, picnic basket full of food and soft drink and enjoy the kids fireworks. Stay high near bridge road since they are fired into the sky
